Laurence-Jarel Lim, Internal Support Engineer, joins Solnet

Solnet is pleased to welcome Laurence-Jarel Lim, who recently joined Solnet’s Platforms Team as a Support Engineer. Laurence-Jarel plays an essential role by troubleshooting operational IT issues as well as performing proactive maintenance, keeping systems patched and in good health, preventing system vulnerabilities and outages.

Laurence-Jarel is a Victoria University Graduate. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a double major in psychology and computer science. He has a passion for tech and is looking forward to getting started in IT.

“I’ve always liked working with computers and working with logic and reason to solve problems”, says Laurence-Jarel. “I’m also fascinated by cybersecurity. Recently, there has been a spike in malicious activities with the intent to cause harm and issues. This has resulted in the industry focusing on defending against threats”.

Outside of work, Laurence-Jarel plays rugby for the Old Boys University Club, based in Wellington.
