Solnet welcomes Robert Graham, DevOps Engineer

Robert Graham has joined Solnet's platforms team as a DevOps Engineer. Based in Wellington, he will automate processes and improve systems to make them easier for clients to manage.

Robert began his career as a meteorologist, working in R&D performing analysis for the South African Weather Service. He pivoted into the IT world in 2005 and began focusing on the Linux side of computer systems before eventually moving into infrastructure and DevOps roles.

"I like to solve problems to make people's lives easier. I do that by taking away the daily grind and letting computers do the work", says Robert. "I get satisfaction when clients are happy."

He enjoys learning about modern technologies and is interested in what's new with DevOps and the cloud.

Migrating from South Africa to New Zealand in 2022, Robert enjoys golf, walks with his wife, and spending time with his son, who loves mathematics. Robert also has a German shepherd that he likes teaching new tricks.
